Jeep Camp chooses the Giulio Barbieri marquees for the second year in a row

After the 2014 edition which took place in Parma, the Jeep Camp is back in Italy once again for 2019. This time the event was held in the beautiful setting of the Dolomites in San Martino di Castrozza from 12 to 14 July, and the marquees of the Ferrara-based company were the protagonists of the entire exhibition.

An installation 100% Made in Italy in complete harmony with Nature

The versatility and the high-quality of Giulio Barbieri tents remain undisputed. The Elite, Festival, Qzebo, and Velora models have perfectly integrated into the natural context thanks to the well-thought-out customisations made for the international Jeep Camp meeting.

Elements of raw wood were added to the structures dedicated to eco-sustainability. In fact, all the timber used to set up the event stands, as well as to build the obstacles of the off-road routes - over 250 tons in total - is made up of the trees that collapsed during the thunderstorms that devastated Trentino Alto Adige last October. These fallen trees had to be removed and disposed of to allow the reforestation of the area.
The timeless marquee Festival tent was the scene for the key events of the exhibition, such as the info-point and the Jeep Academy. Elite, the newest addition to the range, was chosen to host the imposing stage where fantastic concerts and entertainment shows took place.
The black ceiling of the marquee Elite tent highlights the light wood placed right at the foot of the stage and perfectly complements the graphics chosen by Jeep for the event.

A series of Qzebos, arranged in a skilful and precise way, hosted some of the most iconic vehicles of the American car manufacturer. The exhibition showcased models that fit perfectly into the natural context, that acted as an open-air museum. The visitors were able to see up close and even touch seven historic models on display, retracing the stages of a long and glorious history of which the Jeep pick-ups remain a big part.

An extraordinary event that took place at an altitude of about 2,200 meters and that hosted more than 1,600 "jeepers" and 800 cars, organised in complete harmony with the surrounding natural environment. The exhibition was, in fact, set up right at the foot of the Dolomite peaks of the great group of the Pale di San Martino mountains. "We are happy to collaborate with companies such as Ideal Project Factory S.r.l. with whom we have been working for over twenty years," says Giulio Barbieri, the owner of the namesake company. "It is precisely this remarkable type of relationship with our customers, based on mutual trust and continuous dialogue, that has allowed us to grow and evolve our products to make them perform increasingly better and in line with their needs. Designing festival tents has taught us to find reliable and practical construction solutions since the clients who rent our products base their business on assembly/disassembly times and on the resistance of the structures to transportation and wear. All this know-how is at the basis of all our product ranges that also concern other markets, such as retractable tunnels, outdoor pergolas, and carports".

The 2019 edition of Jeep Camp

The annual gathering of the American car manufacturer attracts the attention of many enthusiasts of the brand but not only. In fact, this year, several other events, such as concerts and yoga classes, were organised alongside the main exhibition. This gathering is the most important event of the Jeep Owners Group and boasts broad international participation. This is a unique opportunity to meet new people, have fun and experience unforgettable adventures: off-road test drives, theory and practical lessons, concerts, and entertainment for kids. There will also be the already customary Jeep Academy - a set of lessons to test your skills in driving 4x4 off-road vehicles through the woods of Malga Ces or just simply to admire the performance of the most experienced drivers. Three days of passion for adventure and the spirit of freedom, concepts that have always characterised Jeep's philosophy. Two exclusive models will be presented during the event: the new Gladiator 2020 made by Mopar and the brand new Gladiator, a medium-sized pick-up expected on the market in the second half of 2020, which made its world debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show at the end of 2018 and which marks the return of the brand in the pick-up segment after 27 years.
The exhibition closed on Sunday, 14th July with the Jeep Parade, the key moment of this year's three days, the largest Jeep parade ever seen in Europe: an opportunity to test the extraordinary off-road capabilities of the legendary Jeep Wrangler and to guide the entire Jeep range on the arduous but magnificent mountain routes of the Dolomites.
