Drive-through mobile testing unit: the contribution of Giulio Barbieri S.r.l.

From Monday 26th October 2020, in Cento, a town in the province of Ferrara, it will be possible to get the NP (nasopharyngeal) swab for SARS-CoV-2 directly in your car at the new mobile testing unit, which consists of an equipped container and two gazebos designed by Giulio Barbieri S.r.l.

All this has been made possible also thanks to the work of Giulio Barbieri S.r.l. and to the now consolidated synergy between the company and the Municipality of Cento. A new testing unit, measuring 4 by 8 metres, was set up using two aluminium gazebos (Summer model) provided by the Ferrara-based company Giulio Barbieri S.r.l.

"We designed this area in record time: only three days passed from receiving the request from the Municipality of Cento to the completion and assembly of the testing unit. It is a source of great pride for our Company to know that, with our structures, we can help during these difficult times," says Giulio Barbieri.

This additional auxiliary area for drive-through testing was created with the aim of lightening the load of the numerous testing labs in the province and making the Covid-19 tracking work even more efficient.

In fact, Giulio Barbieri's shading canopies and retractable aluminium tunnels are offering excellent support for all those activities that need additional protected outdoor spaces and to create outdoor courtesy areas. Many companies, private and not, need to create additional spaces to help maintain social distancing and to create protected and contained queueing areas, that allow to better manage temperature checks and the flows of incoming and outgoing people.

From the very beginning of this health emergency, the Ferrara-based company has converted its production to design the "Sanitary Gate" disinfection tunnel. This system is capable of disinfecting and sanitising people, goods, equipment, and vehicles, such as ambulances that require rapid and effective internal decontamination.
