King Carl XVI Gustaf attends the inauguration of the electric vehicle charging station featuring the Pensilsole photovoltaic canopy, installed by the public administration of Kristianstad, Sweden.
Kristianstad, Sweden – On 22 May 2014, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the city, King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia showed their appreciation for the forthcoming inauguration of the solar carport “Pensilsole” by Giulio Barbieri passing by car and greeting the participants. The solar carport functions as charging station for the electric vehicles by the company Move About; the project was conceived in collaboration with C4Energy.
Charging station for electric cars The inauguration took place at the presence of the local authorities Pierre Månsson, Fredrik Axelsson and Heléne Fritzon achieving a great success. The charging station is located close to the train station offering a useful service to travellers arriving at Kristianstad: they have the possibility to rent an electric car promoting sustainable and eco-friendly mobility.
