Mille Miglia: A Thousand Miles To Discover Qzebo, The Modern Gazebo Of The Latest Generation!

Clas Eventi and Creations srl - Allestimenti e Progettazioni - from Brescia have chosen Qzebo, the modern and revolutionary gazebo by Giulio Barbieri, to set up the stages of the 1000 Miglia race in the cities of Siena and Brescia.

The long roar of the engines of the 37th edition of the historical re-enactment of 1000 Miglia, "The most beautiful race in the world", as described by the legendary Enzo Ferrari, has just come to an end.

The set-up of Brescia, the first and last of the stages, and Siena, the third stage, was curated by Clas Eventi and Creations srl– Allestimenti e Progettazioni. These two companies, who play an active role in the field of events and fairs, chose Qzebo, the revolutionary modern gazebo by Giulio Barbieri S.r.l., a company from Ferrara.

Qzebo is conquering the service and tourism sectors as well as the private and residential ones thanks to its minimal and modern design. The name of this product comes from the combination of the words "cube" and "gazebo" that describe its pure, geometric shape, without any laces or valances that feature in the more conventional classic gazebos. The super-lowered peak is almost invisible, which makes the gazebo extremely easy to integrate into any architectural context, even those of great historical value, where the least visual impact is required.

This is why choosing Qzebo for the Piazza del Campo set-up in Siena and that of Piazza della Vittoria in Brescia during the 1000 Miglia race was a winning decision. It was extremely respectful of the cities with such an important and internationally recognised architectural and artistic heritage.

A further point in favour of Qzebo is its sheer practicality and versatility, as well as the possibility to be fully customised according to the individual needs of customers.

Creations S.r.l. set up a Qzebo 5x5 in Piazza del Campo in Siena for the main sponsor of the event, a well-known Swiss company manufacturing luxury watches, jewellery, and accessories, which has chosen to be represented by an elegant stand in all-black: the gazebo's carpet and structure are black, while the cover sheet is silver.

Clas Eventi, on the other hand, set up the stages in Brescia. The official spaces of the event and the information point were hosted in an area with about twenty Qzebo 4x4 joined together and customised in white and red - the signature colours of the event. The same layout was used for the event's official merchandise stand.
Other Qzebos hosted RTL 102.5, the official radio partner of the race, also in black with the brand's logo. All the live updates of the individual stages were broadcast from here.

"We are proud to have contributed to the set-up of an event like the 1000 Miglia," said the President, Giulio Barbieri. "The classic elegance of the historical re-enactment of the 1000 Miglia is now recognised all over the world, a real tribute to the Dolce Vita and the dynamic, elegant, and refined lifestyle of our Bel Paese. We are happy to have contributed to affirming this concept through our design - 100% made in Italy, manufactured strictly within our factory in Ferrara."

1000 miles of history and tradition

The 1000 Miglia race was born in Brescia in 1927, the year of the "First Cup of 1000 Miglia", as an endurance race of speed over distance. It took place along roads open to general traffic over a distance of about 1600 km, becoming a vintage car rally in 1977.
The 1000 Miglia has lived through many adventures, always touching points of artistic and natural interest of our country. Throughout the years it saw, among its protagonists, such great names of motoring as Tazio Nuvolari, Clemente Biondetti, and Alessandro Nannini.

The 37th edition at a glance

The 2019 edition of the event took place over a route of 1801 km, with 430 competing cars, carefully selected from over 700 applications. From 15 to 18 May, the participants crossed Italy in 4 stages, from Brescia to Rome and back, visiting places perhaps unknown to most, but of no less interest. The perfect relationship between vintage cars and scenic route makes the 1000 Miglia a sort of travelling museum, which attracts thousands of enthusiasts and spectators. This year a tribute has been paid to the genius of Leonardo - to mark his 500th anniversary of birth the rally went through the city of Vinci, before reaching Montecatini, Pistoia, and the historic centre of Florence followed by the arrival in Bologna.

The 2019 edition of 1000 Miglia saw vintage cars of extraordinary historical, technical, and sporting value, from 71 different manufacturers, and for the sixth year in a row, there were also 5 cars belonging to the Military category, led by representatives of the Armed Forces.
To date, the most represented country continues to be Italy, with about 36% of the total number of participants, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

The Award Ceremony took place immediately after the arrival in Viale Venezia in Brescia, where the crews came after a triumphant parade along the streets of the city's historic centre. The winners of 2019 edition of the 1000 Miglia were the Sicilian driver and paediatrician Giovanni Moceri and the Brescian journalist Daniele Bonetti, who were able to triumph over Andrea Vesco's attemps.
